Greek duo Mike and Dimos Siavelis, aka ‘B.I.G.’ burst onto the scene in 2004 with ‘A Promise’ and their debut 2CD album ‘Mindscapes‘. Known for their beautiful soothing melodies and blissed-out beats, their future seemed bright. But after releasing ‘Carpe Diem‘ in 2006, they disappeared without a trace.
TranceFixxed spoke to Klik Records recently, who have released all of B.I.G.’s previous productions, to try and find out more:
“Thank you for your kind interest. We have not been able to enjoy more from these really talented guys (since Carpe Diem) as unfortunately there were some really severe incidents in their personal lives. We have never lost contact with them, as they are great people and good friends.
We were very pleased that they performed at the Klik Records 10th Anniversary party in June at Marina Floisvou, and they left with the ‘Promise’ that they will be “more active” in the near future.”
Sad to hear that they have had some personal issues, and I think I can say on behalf of B.I.G. fans everywhere we wish them all the very best. It’s encouraging that they may start producing music again in 2014, and TranceFixxed will be keeping an ear out for any more news from them so watch this space!
For any lovers of chilled Progressive House who need reminding of their talents, here’s a video of ‘A Promise’:
